The successful candidate would transport hides/refrigerated/frozen product between abattoirs, port, hide plant and other sites. We have two positions available day shift and afternoon shift
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Transport refrigerated and frozen product from Brisbane to various locations
- Safe and timely transportation of Company goods to and from sites
- Efficient operation of the Prime Mover and associated equipment
- Complete daily pre-start checks on vehicles before operating
- Ensure compliance with all Road Transport Requirements and National Heavy Vehicle
- Comply with all aspects of laws related to the Chain of Responsibility
- Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety Requirements
- Operate under Basic Fatigue Management (BFM)
- Work as part of a team and individually to accomplish tasks and manage workloads.
About you:
- Current Multi-Combination (MC) Driver’s
- Minimum of Two Years’ Experience as an MC Driver.
- Sound Traffic History Report (Last 5 Years).
- Ability to work across a 7 day period including weekends.
- Hold Basic Fatigue Management Certification
- Current Drivers Medical
- Knowledge of the above locations would be an advantage
- Must be able to work afternoon shift.
- Experience using Stag tippers, refrigerated vans and containers is highly desirable.
- Current MSIC Card.
