Worked As Skip Truck Driver at SUEZ Cairns from July 2020 to till now
Operating an Iveco Skip truck with 7 tonne lifting capacity and servicing the greater Cairns area. The job takes me onto building work sites and domestic locations for delivery and retrieval of 2, 4, and 6 square meter bins. This work requires good time management and ability to co-ordinate runs to minimize uneconomical truck movements.

Worked As Bus & Coach Driver at Greyhound Resources from January 2020 to October 2022
In camp position (3 & 1) servicing mining personnel to and from Mine-site driving 48 seater coaches. Coal board medical & first aid along with specific BMA site inductions.

Worked As Bus Driver at Transit Australia from November 2019 to July 2020
Permanent shift work operating Company buses (48-60 seats) on the Cairns city public bus run from Gordonvale in the South to Palm Cove in the north. The roster is rotating and covers seven Days as well as night shift on the weekend. Drivers are responsible for pre-start checks, safe operation, ticketing and cash handling.

Worked As Driver (solo side-lift) at JJ Richards, Mareeba NQ from July 2011 to April 2019
Daily operational driving including Side arm wheelie bin and Hook truck (RORO). We serviced the Mareeba Shire Council contract and JJ Richards Commercial services. As a satellite Depot located in Mareeba, where my Wife & I lived, all drivers reported to Lee Kane (Contracts Manager) who was based in Cairns. We were responsible for daily routine maintenance on the Trucks and reported any need for mechanical repairs to head office in Cairns. Trucks were with ‘Black Moth’ hardware and ‘J-Track’ routing software (developed by JJ Richards) where by trucks are continually monitored Online. I resigned from this position to concentrate on the renovation of my house while doing some part time Uber work.

Worked As Owner/Driver at Moore Skip Bins from May 2003 to April 2009

Daily operational driving and logistical work to deliver a service on time and at a reasonable price. Mini Skips (hoist on hoist off) were available to customers. I used a Mazda Titan 2000 Crane truck with 2 tonne tray back and 2.6 tonne crane capacity. This was a successful small business however I found it necessary to return to my Home town in FNQ as my aging mother was living alone.

My partner and I purchased a run-down BYO Restaurant and created one of Cairns’ first Mediterranean themed Restaurants. The Restaurant was both indoor and alfresco with a combined seating of 90 pax. It proved to be a very successful venue for its day in Cairns however I had decided to begin a Commerce degree as a mature aged student and we agreed to sell the Restaurant.
