I’m a firefighter working two weeks on two weeks off in the Chinchilla gas fields QLD.
I fly back to NSW and live in Forster / Tuncurry
I have driven heavy rigid vehicles of various sizes for over thirty six years.
I am looking for some part time work to fill in my two weeks off at home.

Worked As Firefighter at Chinchilla Gas Fields from June 2022 to till now
Firefighter Chinchilla Gas Fields: two weeks on, two weeks off

• Stationed at one of the Corporate Protection Australia Hubbs in the in the Chinchilla Gas Fields in southwest Queensland providing
a fire protection service for Shell Australia gas plants and structural assets.
• Complete post-incident paperwork and record staff involvement and participation as well as job details work with all station and regional staff to guarantee a smoothly run region and harmonious workings between stations and shifts and aid in station training
or observation at neighboring stations as needed to guide and assess staff in safety and operational skills.
Our camp is located some 50 km from our station. Driving in an out every day with a liquid load. We respond to incidents up to 180 km away.

Worked As Firefighter ARFF and Urban at Ventia from June 2020 to June 2022
Based at Oakey Airport Queensland. Ventia is contracted by the Australian Defence Force to provide an ARFF and Urban Fire
Service.
• As a Firefighter with Certificate III, I worked as a team of Firefighters under the control of the Fire Officer providing a Firefighting
and First Response First Aid service to all Civilian and Military Aircrafts flying in and out of Oakey Airport.
• Provide an Urban Firefighting Fire Service including First Response First Aid, Hazmat, Road Accident Rescue service for the Airport
and connecting facilities
• Provide a Fire Protection service for the Airports Fuel Storage facility and assist and back up the local urban fire service providing
Domestic Fire Response, Road Accident Rescue, Hazmat, Wildfire, Water Rescue and Natural Disaster response.
Driving daily under normal conditions and responding quickly under emergency conditions to incidents with liquid loads.

Worked As Fire Officer / Senior Fire Officer at BAE Systems ARFF Tamworth from November 2012 to December 2019
Based at Tamworth Airport BAE Systems was contracted by the Australian Defence Force to provide flight training, maintenance,
and an ARFF service at two airports.
• As a Fire Officer with Diploma, role was to lead a Firefighting and First Response First Aid service to all Military and Civilian Aircrafts
flying in and out of Tamworth Regional Airport and for the BAE Systems Australian Defence Force Flying Training Facility.
• Provide an Urban Firefighting Fire Service including First Response First Aid, Hazmat, Road Accident Rescue service for the Airport
and connecting facilities
• Provide a Fire Protection service for the Airports Fuel Storage facility (this facility was transferred to East Sale Victoria January 2020).
Driving daily under normal conditions and responding quickly under emergency conditions to incidents with liquid loads

Worked As Fire Officer at Air Services Australia from October 1986 to October 2012
• Worked as a Firefighter and later a Fire Officer commencing my career at Sydney Airport and working in several locations throughout Australia, the last being a FIFO role in Ayers Rock driving 30 ton 6×6 Mk 8 Panthers on and off roads in sandy 6WD conditions.
This was a FIFO roster two weeks on two weeks off.
• As a Fire Officer with Diploma operating MK 8 Panthers my role was to lead a Firefighting and First Response First Aid service to all
Civilian and Military Aircrafts flying in and out of Ayers Rock Airport.
• Lead a team providing an Urban Firefighting Fire Service including First Response First Aid, Hazmat, Road Accident Rescue for the Airport and connecting facilities.
• Provide a Fire Protection service for the Airports Fuel Storage facility.
• Assist and back up the Ayer’s Rock urban fire service providing Domestic Fire Response, Road Accident Rescue, Hazmat, Wildfire
and Natural Disaster response.
