Responsibilities:
Operate a tilt tray tow truck with precision and efficiency.
Driving/loading and floating around heavy machinery on low loaders.
Safely transport a variety of cargo, including access hire machinery, construction equipment, portable buildings, shipping containers, and vehicles/bikes, ensuring timely delivery.
Secure cargo to towing equipment, ensuring proper loading and attachment.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
Uphold company policies and procedures related to transportation and equipment operation.
Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
Adhere to traffic laws, regulations, and safety procedures during towing and at accident scenes.
Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, incidents, and services provided.
Continuously enhance towing skills and knowledge through ongoing training and industry updates.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in a similar role.
Experience operating a tilt tow truck and a low loader truck is highly desirable.
Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated.
Effective operation of vehicles and equipment with a focus on safety.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and a sense of responsibility.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong work ethic, with the capability to lift heavy objects when required.
Good geographical knowledge of Adelaide and surrounding suburbs.
Load restraint accreditation is preferable but not necessary.
Required:
Minimum 2 years of truck driving and loading experience.
Australian Tow Truck Accreditation.
Heavy Rigid (HR) license and/or Heavy Combination (HC) license.
