About me:
Candidate Info :
I have been in the Transport and logistics industry since 2003. In this time I have learnt and gained many skills necessary to work efficiently within the industry. I have recently stopped my full time position as I have decided to go back to studying. I am currently looking for on-call and part time positions. I have experience as driver, operating various types and classes of trucks, forklift and warehouse machinery and vehicles. Experience in storeman and yardman roles.
Experience :
Worked As MC Driver / Yardman at Bagtrans from July 2012 to September 2015
BAGTRANS, Arndell Park/Eastern Creek.
Full time truck driver
Jul 2012 – Sep 2015
My role at the company was afternoon shift local B-double driver/yardman. Half my day would mainly involve time slotted delivery and/or pickup of general palletised freight from warehouse sites and distribution centres (Coles, Woolworths, Linfox sites etc.). The other half of my day would be to take over the morning yardman. Preparing/positioning certain trailers for movement within the yard. Organising the loading/unloading of inbound/outbound local and interstate trailers. Communicating with all staff within the warehouse to accomplish the jobs for the night. Certain level of focus and attention from all staff and I was required at the company as it was in a fast pace and high demand environment.
Worked As HC driver at Bailey’s / Wymap from July 2009 to May 2012
WYMAP, Alexandria.
Full time truck driver
Jul 2009 – May 2012
Wymap deals with the movement of airfreight throughout Sydney airport freight terminals. Wymap operations team would advise me on which terminals to collect freight from and for which clients (DHL, Schenker, Fedex, Toll). The use of a PDA to track and process airwaybills to lodge at terminal counters and then lodged freight collected from inbound freight bays (finger docks, rear docks). I would also be advised to which client to collect outbound freight from to deliver to terminals. The movement of freight would consist of around 100t to and or from the airport a day. Freight would be palletised or loose carrying various freight to machinery, dangerous goods, perishables, vehicles ect. So following RTA load regulations and restraint guidelines was essential. Being a HC driver, I would drive a number of prime movers (e.g. Argosy, Actros, UD gk) and with a number of trailers up to 48 ft. tautliners for loose freight and flatbeds fitted with electric/engine chains used for air cargo containers and pallets. I would also drive the HR and MR trucks when required and use forklift to load/unload from clients when required.
