Job Description: Truck Driver (Multi Combination)

Salary: $3,137/week gross, annual $163,124

Reporting to Managing Director

Role:
To drive heavy articulated vehicles to undertake Jarratt Transport logistic tasks as directed by the Operations
Manager.

Responsibilities:

Including, but not limited to:
• Ensure truck is operated safely, effectively and efficiently to achieve Jarratt Transport goals and objectives
• Ensure truck is maintained on a daily basis following manufacturer’s specifications
• Ensure plant is operated and loaded in a safe manner following safe work method statements and manufacturer’s instructions
• Ensure truck is correctly and securely loaded to weight and safety limits and driven according to road regulations
• Understanding of load restraint as per National Road Restraint Guidelines
• Uphold a high standard of professionalism, customer service and safety at all times

Experience/Qualifications:
Skills:
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent client management and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of and adherence to workplace health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to handle and transport goods with care, ensure cargo security.
• Excellent driving record and ability to maintain accurate records.

Experience:
• A current MC drivers’ licence and experience in this licence class
• Flat top experience
• Preferably 1-year previous experience as a truck driver operating heavy combination vehicles
• Basic fatigue management accreditation is preferable
• Must pass a Commercial Drivers’ Health Assessment
• Provide a current traffic print out
