Reliable Traffic Controller needed to set up & manage traffic control devices, ensure safety protocols & direct traffic safely with strong focus on teamwork.
WorkPac is currently seeking reliable and safety-focused Traffic Controllers to join our client’s team on a long-term project. This role offers the opportunity to work with an established civil and infrastructure contractor.
What you will be doing:
– Set up, manage, and remove traffic control devices including cones, signs, and barriers – Safely direct traffic using stop/slow batons and approved procedures – Implement and monitor Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) on-site – Conduct pre-start safety checks, hazard assessments (SWMS/JSAs), and complete site documentation – Communicate effectively with crews, site managers, and relevant authorities – Ensure strict compliance with workplace health and safety protocols
What you will need:
– Previous experience as a Traffic Controller preferred, but not essential – White Card – Current Traffic Controller (TC) Yellow Card and Implement Traffic Control Plans (TMI) accreditation required – Strong focus on safety, teamwork, and reliability – Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner
