About the role
Grab It Trucks\’ is seeking an experienced HR Truck Driver to join our team on a contract basis in Greenbank, QLD. We will require areas of service to be Ipswich & the Gold Coast. As an HR Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of blue skip bags containing household items, building site items, furniture and rubbish. We will require areas of service to be Ipswich & the Gold Coast. We will also require some job site or retail work occasionally. This is a crucial role that plays a vital part in the success of our operations.
What you\’ll be doing
- Safely operate heavy rigid or articulated vehicles
- Adhere to all road rules, regulations and safety protocols
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify and report any vehicle defects
- Load and unload vehicles in a timely manner, ensuring cargo is secured properly
- Maintain accurate logbooks and other documentation as required
- Use driver\’s aps
- Communicate effectively with directors and admin
- Maintain, clean and grease your vehicle as required
What we\’re looking for
- Valid HR driver\’s licence and demonstrated experience operating heavy vehicles
- Minimum 6 months of HR truck driving experience required
- Clean driving record with no accidents in the last 12 months
- 6-12 months minimum crane operation experience required
- Knowledge of road transport regulations and safety best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
