Our client is a large-scale, privately owned cattle enterprise operating multiple stations across Australia. The role is based in the southern Victoria River District of the Northern Territory, a region renowned for its iconic landscapes, strong pastoral operations, and tight-knit station communities. You will be part of a progressive operation with solid infrastructure and a supportive team environment.
Role overview
Reporting directly to Station Management, this role suits an experienced MC-licensed road train driver who is confident with livestock, capable of basic mechanical upkeep, and enjoys being part of a younger, energetic crew. This is a seasonal full-time role working a six-day week, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities and duties
– Cart weaners internally across two aggregating stations (six decks of cattle) to central property points
– Operate flat-top trailers to transport heavy machinery and station equipment as required
– Conduct routine servicing, maintenance, and safety checks on truck and trailers
– Operate station machinery (dozer and grader) when truck driving duties are not required
Selection criteria
– Current, unrestricted MC licence with proven road train experience
– Previous cattle handling and livestock carting experience
– Demonstrated experience transporting heavy machinery on flat-top trailers
– Physically fit, mechanically minded, and able to work well within a younger team environment
Additional particulars
– Seasonal full-time position working six days per week
– Studio single or couple accommodation supplied
– All meals provided
– Pet dogs permitted by negotiation and prior disclosure
– Potential domestic station position available for partner, subject to suitability
– Wages negotiable based on experience
