Transport Allocator
Want Access are an EWP Hire Company, specialising in scissor lift, boom lift, telehandler and forklift hire. Want Access have grown to be one of the largest providers of EWP in the Sydney market due to our exceptional customer service levels and our personalised service to our customers.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. Previous hire industry experience is essential, with transport allocation or fleet scheduling experience highly regarded. Exceptional customer service, strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities are key to success in this role.
About the Role
As our Transport Allocator, you\’ll be responsible for coordinating daily transport operations, ensuring deliveries and collections are completed on time while providing exceptional service to our customers. No two days are the same, and you\’ll need to think on your feet, juggle multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
– Coordinate and schedule daily EWP deliveries and collections
– Allocate drivers and vehicles efficiently to maximise productivity
– Maintain constant communication with drivers throughout the day
– Liaise with customers regarding delivery times, site requirements, and any schedule changes
– Monitor transport schedules and proactively resolve issues as they arise
– Ensure all transport operations comply with safety and regulatory requirements
– Work closely with the operations and sales teams to deliver outstanding customer service
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
– Previous experience in transport allocation, logistics, or fleet scheduling
– A strong understanding of the Sydney metropolitan road network
– Excellent multitasking and organisational skills
– The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
– Outstanding communication and customer service skills
– Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude
– Good computer skills and experience using transport or scheduling software (preferred)
