I started my working life in 1975 as a trades assistant to boilermakers and fitters at ICI Australia working there for about 10 years then moved to scaffolding for an instant scaffold company for a short period before moving to asbestos removal and then to truck driving which I have been doing now for nearly 30 years most of that time was spent doing oversize uploads which a large percentage was heavy machinery. Long hours were normal so overtime is not a problem for me I would prefer to end up with a permanent position and realise I have to work hard to achieve this which I am more than willing to do

Worked As MC Driver / Operator at Brengen Transport from March 2019 to May 2020
Key Responsibilities:
● Responsible for safely operating Kenworth K100 trucks and container trailers in the line haulage
of container freight from depot to port and back to depot ensuring compliance with all Australian
road rules, legislation and regulations whilst adhering to signage and changing driving to suit
weather conditions
● Ensure accuracy when completing all log book checks and entering all data into computerised
systems including SAP at the end of each shift and compiling reports for management
● Effectively planning and managing routes for transport with strict adherence to safety, schedules,
changes in traffic, road rules and regulations to ensure KPI objectives were met
● Displaying exceptional communication skills verbal, written and interpersonal when liaising with clients, supervisors and other operators regarding schedules, changes and reporting any relevant
safety information or updates to schedules
● Utilising the correct P.P.E for the task such as masks, gloves, steel cap boots and hi-vis clothing
● Participate in positive two-way radio communication with other operators and SIMOPS and client
depot’s
● Complete detailed prestart and end of shift checks of all trucks and equipment, fuelling and refuelling, checking tyres, communication systems, air , twist locks, fluid levels, electrics,
isolations and performing general maintenance as required
● Participating and contributing to daily team pre-start meetings liaising with management and supervisors to relay any relevant safety information or updates

● Providing effective leadership to achieve business objectives by fostering a culture where safety is
a core value, adhering to company and site safety procedures including JHA’s, SOP’s and hazard
identification and reporting
