One of Victoria’s prominent civil contractors with 20 years’ experience, Rokon partners with some of the largest developers across Melbourne. This role supports various heavy plant and equipment within the field, to ensure we meet projects on time and on budget by minimising downtime.
About the opportunity
We currently have an opportunity available for a Diesel Mechanic. Reporting to the Plant Manager, your key duties include, but are not limited to:
- General repair and maintenance of plant and equipment
- Carrying out preventative maintenance
- Liaising with contractors as required for machine breakdowns
- Source and/or arrange for spare parts to be delivered
- Follow and ensure safe operating procedures at all times
About you
To be considered, you need to demonstrate the following:
- At least 2 years’ experience
- Relevant trade qualifications/certificates
- Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- HR license preferred
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal skills
- Demonstrated understanding working with OH&S procedures
- Drivers’ license
