Looking for a Drillers Offsider
Hinterland Drilling Pty Ltd is an Australian owned and operated Geotechnical and Environmental drilling company based in Queensland.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
-Assist to set up/dismantle/move drill rigs and equipment
-Assisting with loading and unloading heavy vehicles
-Ensure site safety and follow Safe Work Instructions
-Add/remove drill rods/augers and other down hole tools
-Assist in sample collection
-Conduct and complete necessary safety paperwork and processes
-Clean drill rigs, vehicles, equipment and tools
-Assist with daily pre-start check functions
-Assist in routine maintenance on drill rigs, equipment, vehicles and tools
-Assist with mixing drilling mud's/fluids/chemicals/cement as required
-Maintaining adequate water supply
-Operate ancillary equipment including petrol water pumps & onsite trucks
-Maintaining the drill site, drill rig, work area, vehicles and equipment in a clean hazard free condition
-Perform first aid where required
-Willing to travel and stay away from home (when required)
-Willing to work nights, weekends and public holidays(when required)
Skills and experience:
-MR Drivers Licence (essential) HR Drivers Licence (preferred)
-White Card
-Current First Aid & CPR or willing to obtain
-Ability to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance
-Certificate II in Drilling Operations (preferred, not essential)
-Previous experience in the Drilling industry(preferred,not essential)
-Demonstrated personal commitment to working safely
-Must hold a Jobfit medical (minimum)
-Must have dependable transportation and Mobile Phone
-Must have good customer relation skills
Candidates must have strong work ethics, be loyal and trustworthy have good housekeeping and maintenance skills, must be able to work independently and within a team.
Pre Employment and ongoing drug & alcohol screening is conducted.
