Reporting to the Team Leader, the Excavator Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the excavator and other machinery.
This involvesmoving materials and clearing ground, digging holes and trenches to prepare sites for civil works.
Duties Include:
* Operate heavy machinery ensuring safety policies and procedures are adhered to
* Effective time management by completing tasks within project schedules
* Responsibility to keep equipment clean
* Load trucks with excavated fill
* Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers
* Ensure trenches are excavated to the correct depth/grade
* Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
* Be able to identify and report any mechanical issues with machinery
* Ability to work as part of a team environment
* Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation
* Flexibility with hours and a willingness to work overtime when required
Required Qualifications/Licences:
C Class Drivers Licence
Excavator Ticket
Desired Qualifications:
MR truck licence
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year

- Civil Construction: 2 years (Required)
- Operating an Excavator: 2 years (Required)
