This is a hands-on role requiring you to work with owners and senior operational managers developing the capability of their people. It is expected that this role will become full time within 6-1
Working at a strategic level, you will be a key driver of HR change for the business – particularly in the areas of consistent adherence to clearly outlined HR requirements of all roles within the business. This role will develop, implement and monitor HR policies and procedures and ensure all requirements of WAIFS are met, including through monitoring KPIs and the requirements of the Employee Handbook.
To be successful in this position you will be required to demonstrate:
- 7 – 8 years’ experience in a Human Resources role within a fast paced environment
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership position
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications within an Human Resources discipline
- That you are pragmatic, confident and consultative in your approach
- That you have successful experience in fostering key relationships across the organisation
- A high level of conceptual, innovative, and analytical problem solving skills
- A demonstrated ability to think strategically and provide appropriate solutions to problems
- A strong Industrial Relations background is highly regarded
- Detailed Knowledge of Human Resource legislative and statutory requirements and their implementation and monitoring.
- Self-motivated to keep up to date with HR legislation and best practice HR policy and practices
- Ability to write reports, policies and procedures and to update employment-related documentation (employment templates, employee handbook, contracts, job descriptions, KPIs etc.)
- Ability to have the difficult conversations professionally…anyone can do the easy ones!
- Strong work ethic and leadership qualities
- Ability to support other areas of the business, senior managers and directors, including representing them to employees.
