The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work in our Operations Division as a Civil Construction Labourer Truck Driver based in Mount Gambier. You will need to have a minimum of a ‘HR’ Truck licence and must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and be flexible with start and finishing times depending on work requirements.
Experience in civil construction an advantage as well as a White Card, but will look at applicants with limited experience but who is prepared to undertake training.
The position is initially offered on a casual basis with a possibility to become permanent, offering award industry rates and penalties, ongoing training and support.
The role responsibilities include:
• To operate as an effective member of the Gambier Earth Movers Pty Ltd workforce delivering outcomes in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform labouring and truck driving duties under instruction from the Operations Manager and/or Project Engineers
• Work in conjunction with other personnel and ensure work activities and documentation are compliant
• To meet all obligations outlined in the Company’s Integrated Management System on Quality Assurance, OHS and Environmental management
• Strong adherence to all WHS policies and procedures
Skills and Qualifications
• Experience in civil labouring (preferred), or proven ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• Current Drivers Licence (‘HR’ minimum)
• General Construction Induction Card preferred (White Card)
• Ability to communicate with management, team members and clients
• Willingness to work as a team and assist and support others as required
• Ability to promote and maintain a safe, clean and compliant work environment
