Seafood Packaging Operator ( Ash Bros Food Services )

Process and distribute high-quality seafood, perform order picking and packing, and adhere to quality control requirements in a fast-paced production line environment.
For over 50 years at Ash Bros, we’ve taken pride in processing and distributing the highest quality fresh and frozen seafood to Victorians.
We regularly service a range of clients in the hospitality industry, including 5-star hotels, leading restaurants, sporting venues, hospitals, caterers, TAFE colleges, and seafood retailers.
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: Average of 38 hours per week
Position duties include:
– Placing seafood neatly onto trays
– Using machinery to seal products
– Order picking and packing
– Lifting and carrying boxes
– Weighing products accurately
– Completing orders correctly
About the role:
– Fast paced production line work
– Adhering to batch processing and quality control requirements
– Food manufacturing environment
– Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work
– 4:30am start (subject to change during busy production periods)
About you:
– Experience in the meat, fast food or retail industries desired but not essential (training provided)
– Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment
– Good communication skills
– Able to work independently and as part of a team
– Ability to undertake physical and repetitive tasks
– Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and a drug and alcohol screen
– Flexible work attitude and ability to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays
– Committed to a safe work environment and willing to promote safety within a team
Requirements:
– Police check
– Provide at least two references
– Own transport including a valid Driver\’s License
