Delivery Driver duties:
Driving heavy vehicles (HR license required) and delivery of goods to customers to and from different destinations to collect and deliver goods. Records travel and vehicle maintenance information in logs. Operates a winch, hoist, or other equipment to unload or load truck. May collect payment, or a receipt for goods picked up.
- Check stocks to be delivered before leaving the warehouse
- Driving heavy vehicles in order to fulfil organisation's commitments and service agreements with customers.
- Delivering goods to all customers including retail, food service & wholesale.
- Loading or unloading goods delivered using various lifting devices e.g. forklift and manual handling.
- Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring a safe distribution of weight within the vehicle.
- Obtaining proof of delivery for items delivered according to company procedures.
- Maintaining logbooks detailing vehicle movements.
- Reporting and complying with vehicle maintenance needs.
- May collect payments from customers and return daily to authorised persons in accordance with company policies & procedures.
- Complete all forms as required by the job.
- Must at all times comply with traffic laws & regulation and avoid driving, parking and other traffic offences
Licence:
- Australian driver's licence – HR (Required)
- Forklift licence (Required): Forklift driving in large areas and small confined spaces.
Work Eligibility:
