APF Cold Storage & Logistics are recruiting for experienced Truck Delivery Drivers for our warehouses in Adelaide. We are looking for self-motivated and energetic individuals to form part of our team.
This fast-paced work is for various clients located across our three Distribution Centre sites, Athol Park, Regency Park, and Albert Park, and involves extensive repetitive manual handling therefore a great level of fitness and manual handling ability is required for this work! Multiple positions are available for a rapidly growing business.
This position will suit someone that has the flexibility to work 5-20 hrs per week Monday to Friday, various shift times. Pay rate $26.79 per hour as per Storage Services Award.
Key Responsibilities:
- Makes sure goods and products are secured inside the truck to minimize damage during transit.
- Reads and efficiently works form routing manifest to deliver products to customers using a truck, forklift, pallet jack and/or hand truck.
- Follows correct procedures to document customer receipt of product and omission or error
- Collects or picks up empty containers, rejects, or unsold merchandise.
- Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
- Upon completion of delivery route, follows check-in procedures, verifying accurate checks in any returned product, pallets, or containers.
- Cleans (sweeps, discards trash, washes inside windows, etc.) assigned delivery vehicle and trailer.
- Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspection of assigned vehicle and completes pre-trip/post-trip report; distribute as directed.
- Operation of Class C Truck(s) as required
- Ensure compliance and safety is adhered to at all times
- Carry out all duties within set time frames and follow instructions
Experience Requirements:
- Class C Truck operation
- Reach Truck / LF Forklift Licence (desirable)
- MR Licence (desirable)
- Heavy Manual Handling
- Quality assurance
- Computer literate
To be successful in this role you will have the following demonstrated abilities:
- Hold a current Drivers’ Licence and have reliable transport
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Good operational understanding of duties in a warehouse environment
- Willingness to undertake manual handling and other duties on ground level when needed
- Attention to detail and familiarity within a warehouse environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
