Costa Group is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Manager to lead their safety initiatives in Atherton/Mareeba and Walkamin locations.
The role involves developing and implementing WHS strategies, conducting risk assessments, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with legislation.
Key responsibilities include supporting site inspections, providing subject matter expertise on controls, delivering safety training programs, driving health and wellbeing initiatives, managing inductions for employees, contractors, and visitors, and coordinating return-to-work processes for injured workers.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in WHS roles, preferably in agriculture, manufacturing, or logistics, along with a tertiary qualification in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent experience.
Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to fostering inclusive workplaces are essential.
