Dear potential employer,

My name is Alex and I am the founder / General manager at my own coach charter company in southside of Brisbane. The virus has closed our industry and while we have hibernated our vehicles, I am currently seeking some casual work in driving to support my family and gain experience in the field.

In our work to provide coach charter mainly to corporate market, we have to maintain a very high presentation for our vehicles and our staff. As an owner operator I always look after my gear, and I will look after yours as I understand the frustration in people not doing this.

I am a quick learner and adapt well, physically fit but not too strong, at 52kg and 162cm some may call it “vertically challenged”. My lightweight build means I save you fuel.

My license class is open MC.

Experience :
Worked As founder / general manager at Barnabus from December 2012 to till now
Driving coaches: from 13.5m HR to small passenger vans. Some of these coaches were very underpowered and had very loose steering. Customer skills is crucial in this role, problem solving, meeting deadlines, managing routes etc.
This was my startup and is still my current job. Other duties included sales, quoting, operations, fleet management / maintenance, business development, team leading, hiring, book-keeping etc.

Worked As Technical Support manager at Harding Performance from January 2006 to July 2018
Provide technical support to nation-wide dealer network for automotive upgrades for private performance cars. R&D for new products, and technician tasks for Brisbane-based customers. Sales and warehouse duties.

Worked As Mechanical engineer at Harsco Rail from August 2009 to January 2012
Project & Mechanical engineer – to design custom machinery for railway maintenance. Design responsibilities include vehicle structure / dynamics, layout, insulation, air-conditioning, braking, engine cooling, lighting. Liaising with other design staff, customer and contractors to co-operate on the design and build phase. Co-ordinating with factory to supply design drawings and monitor build progress.
