We are looking to recruit 2 experienced Road Train Drivers for Interstate Runs. At this stage, you will be delivering hay(some local).
SA or WA based only please
Your Skills:
- Compassion and empathy,
- Current MC license preferably 2 years or more, not a deal-breaker.
- A commitment to safety and safe working practices,
- A motivated work ethic with the ability to work unsupervised,
- Presentable and good with people.
Your role will include driving, cleaning, loading, and maintaining the Road Train set, including completing relevant paperwork. Upon employment, you will be assigned your own truck to operate (1 truck 1 driver).
We prefer an experienced driver who is not scared of varied pickup and drop points and someone who is tech-savvy and able to follow GPS and/or read maps. But not essential.
The position includes a mixture of independent driving and on the occasion, driving in a convoy therefore flexibility is also requested
The pay is $30.50 per hour from turning the engine on to finishing for the day (including breaks). Also, $42 per night if out on a job. (this includes the Drivers Award increase scheduled in November)
Award wages are $35 for Driving, $24 for loading, and $22 for cleaning and break unpaid. However, to make it easy for all we pay to the same rate for all hours key on key off.
