About the Role
We are seeking a dependable MR Driver to complete scheduled transport runs between Sydney and Canberra. This role involves safely operating an MR truck, loading goods in Sydney, unloading in Canberra, and returning with freight as required.
Key Responsibilities
– Drive an MR-class truck between Sydney and Canberra following planned routes and schedules
– Load the truck in Sydney, ensuring goods are secured and handled safely
– Unload goods upon arrival in Canberra, following correct manual handling procedures
– Complete return-trip deliveries and unload freight upon arrival back in Sydney
– Conduct daily pre-start and post-trip vehicle checks and report maintenance needs
– Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and records
– Ensure compliance with all road regulations, fatigue management requirements, and company safety policies
– Represent the company professionally at delivery and pickup locations
Skills & Experience
– Valid MR licence with a clean driving record
– Experience with interstate or long-distance driving preferred
– Ability to lift, load, and unload goods safely
– Strong awareness of WHS and safe loading practices
– Good communication skills and reliable time management
