A new position has become available in their Burnley corporate office for a Transport Dispatch Coordinator within the outbound transport division.
About the role
As a Transport Dispatch Coordinator, you will be the key point of contact between drivers, clients, and internal teams. You’ll be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day logistics activities including scheduling deliveries, monitoring routes, and ensuring that transport operations run smoothly and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Route and allocate delivery runs
- Provide track and trace updates
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and team members to ensure timely deliveries and resolve issues
- Update and maintain accurate records of transport activities
- Monitor compliance with safety standards, company policies, and legal requirements
- Problem solving and driver support
About you
Proven experience in transport allocation / scheduling Understanding of timber and hardware home delivery sector Excellent verbal and written communication Freight Management system Customer-facing logistics/distribution experience Strong computer and time management skills Clear communication and interpersonal skills
