The Cardboard Box Shop is seeking an energetic Warehouse Worker, for a busy warehouse located in Kedron to run machinery, unpack containers, and day to day warehouse duties. Yes we manufacture cartons, and have a number of machines that need workers who are ready to learn how to use machinery, be self motivated, work in a team, and be a generally honest hardworking person.
Computer skills and CAD knowledge and experience will be a big advantage, as we have one machine that needs computer skills. Mathematics a big advantage here when using software.
You will need to be physically fit as there is some shared lifting involved. Full training provided.
To perform effectively in this position, we are seeking applicants with the following skills, abilities and qualifications – Include:
Proven Warehouse experience – no need for certificates
Carton Manufacturing Machinery operation experience – carton manufacturing advantage
Container unloading Picking & packing (shared heavy lifting)
Forklift driving Warehouse upkeep, housekeeping skills – Must have Licence.
Knowledge of metric and imperial measurements is an advantage.
Current Forklift License (no exceptions)
Computer skills and CAD knowledge – advantage
Ability manage workload, ask for help when needed.
Strong decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Physically capable of performing manual lifting tasks (up to 25 kg).
Excellent time management, prioritising skills and communication skills.
Must be honest, reliable, possess attention to detail and be willing and able to work individually and in a team environment. Ability to supervise if required.
Friendly personality and good interpersonal skills and a good sense of humor
To take ownership of one’s position and be passionate about the same
Current First Aid Certificate an advantage.
Sound OH&S knowledge with a strong commitment to safety
Must have own reliable transport.
Ability to commence work immediately (3 month trial 38-40 hour week)
This is a great opportunity to join a Family company which is going places.
Commencement is NOW. Trial Period up to 3 months. Hours: 7am to 3.30pm – Mon to Thurs, Friday 6 hours, negotiable for right person. Hours may change at any time.
