• Provided ongoing relief management to Area Managers outside of the Central QLD regional scope and as a result successfully managed Depots in QLD, NSW and VIC with an approximate combined workforce of 40 staff.

• Ensured that the team delivered training material to company, international and military standards. Managed administrational procedures during and on completion of each training course.

SUPREME FUELS 2008 – 2009
Bulk Fuel Installation Manager, Kabul, Afghanistan

• Managed a 24 hour fuel distribution centre, with a multi-product capacity of 13,000 Million Litres, and lead the team during an expansion of throughput from 6 Million Litres a month, to 60 Million Litres.
• Indirectly managed site stores, a fleet of four aircraft fuelling vehicles, four generator fuelling vehicles and the on-site fuel laboratory (which at the time was the only lab certified for A+ testing in the country).
• Conducted spot checks and hazard risk analyses on equipment, staff and contractors during terminal operations and applied corrective actions/controls to any hazards and/or safety breaches.
• Organised the preventative maintenance of site equipment and as such developed a four year planner to improve operations by decreasing breakdown maintenance.
• Was in charge of all 3PL’s and ensured that in-bound and out-bound fuel tankers were processed efficiently. Minimised delays and ensured that convoys are ready on departure as required and as per schedule.

Cold Aircraft Refuel Supervisor, Kandahar, Afghanistan

• Supervised a fleet of into-plane fuelling vehicles, providing on-specification fuel at an airport supporting 5,300 flights a week and a fleet of into-generator fuelling vehicles supporting energy needs for a camp of approximately 40,000 personnel.
• Coordinated and synchronised, vehicle availability/serviceability, staff rostering, safety, stores, preventative maintenance for the fleet, general administration, customer services as well as a rigorous fuel quality and quantity control program.
• Trained Operators on up to 60 different types of airframe fuelling procedures, ranging from fixed wing, rotary wing and unmanned aerial vehicles.
• Represented the fuel division as Supreme’s NATO recognised Flight Line Driver Trainer and Airfield Safety Liaison.

Hot Aircraft Refuel Supervisor, Kandahar, Afghanistan

• Trained and supervised two teams of 16 Fuel Operators to safely and timely conduct hot refuelling on up to five helicopters at any one time by day or by night.
• Conducted passenger safety briefings and escorted passengers to and from the aircraft.
• Liaised with ammunition staff at the Forward Arming and Refuelling Point (FARP) to coordinate smooth refuelling and rearming simultaneously.
• Supervised the preventative maintenance of all tanks, filters, hoses, pumps, nozzles, fire extinguishers and bonding cables.
• Operated the Fuel Management Inventory System (FMIS) handheld device and recorded all information for accounting purposes as well as manual receipts.
