About the Role
Greyhound is seeking experienced and passionate drivers to join our team as Casual Coach Captains.
At Greyhound, we are always searching for amazing and passionate operators to represent our company from the frontline and give our customers the best experience possible.
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
– Ensuring the safety of all passengers by adhering to and demonstrating safe work and driving practices.
– Understanding and complying with road rules, operational processes including pre-starts, ticketing, incident reporting, and passenger manifest and freight consignment procedures.
– Performing administrative duties when required including pre-start documentation, completion of log books, fault sheets, and journey records ensuring accurate records.
– Demonstrating correct manual handling of all luggage and freight, ensuring safe manual handling techniques are used at all times.
– Managing own fatigue through effective Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) which also includes being fit for duty.
– Performing other duties as listed in the Greyhound Coach Captain Position Description and or requested that are within your skill set and ability.
– Creating a positive customer experience on every single service.
– Driving a range of coaches across various parts of the scheduled services.
– Consistently ensuring the safety of you, your passengers and your vehicle.

Licences/Requirements
Over the course of your duties, you will be expected to work across the operational roster. In exchange, we offer you an autonomous role where you can have a direct impact on the success of our business.
To be successful in this role you must have:
– A current HR driver licence.
– A current Drivers Authority or Endorsement.
– Demonstrable coach driving experience.
– An outstanding safety focus, including a commitment to your own fitness for duty.
– Experience delivering excellent customer service.
– Time management skills.
– Mechanical knowledge is desirable.
