I have been in the transport industry for many years starting as a young fella and working my way to the top. I have throughout my career maintained a safe driving record with no insurance claims against my name no log book fines, overweight fines and only 2 very low range speeding fines. I retired from the transportation industry in 2003 to get further education as I wanted to be a part of working with young people wanting to get into the transport field so completed a cert IV in youth work a certIV in training and assessment and completed a uni postgraduate degree in behavioural science. I enjoyed the change in the different roles iv had since coming off the trucks but iv had enough of that type of work and am looking to get back in the transport industry that has always being my main work. I would like to get into tipper work and am prepared to attain a MC license am prepared to be away from home, happily married with 2 grown sons and prepared to travel to the job.

Duties: Responsible for coordinating the Time out program activities at the Time Out farm. This has also been a community development role in supporting local Indigenous Men’s groups to develop and run activities across the region to address the underlying causes, effects and impacts of family violence.

These activities include Men’s camps and Health and Wellbeing programs. A proactive approach to encourage men to attend drug and alcohol free events, day to day activities, bringing men together in a safe environment to yarn and revive cultural dances, art and ceremonies. My role was to support and advocate for funding to assist with prevention activities.

My duties also included working with individuals, families and community groups as well as creating working partnerships with Victoria Police, Justice Department, Corrections, Aboriginal Co-ops, Schools, TAFE’s and Universities.
