Dear Sir,
I am a successful businessman and experienced truck and coach driver who is now looking for a driving role as part of a lifestyle change caused by the Covid 19 pandemic and would like to be considered for one of your driver positions.
I am a Melbourne-based director of a UK tour company that is now in hibernation. Due to this I would like to offer my services to firm that is looking for a driver who is prepared to undertake a variety roles.
I have had my car licence for over 40 years and have driven large vehicles in Europe for over 20 years. I have held a European (UK) coach driving licence since 1999 and a UK heavy goods licence since 2013. I own a Volvo FH12,which I drive annually across Europe as part of the operations of my tour company business.
I also have a forklift (LF) licence, job ready MSIC, driver accreditation as well as a white card. I am also enrolled for my DG licence .

Experience :
Worked As Main driver at PP Travel from December 1999 to till now
Obtained UK/European Coach driving licence to use with my London-based firm in 1999. UK heavy goods licence since 2013. I own the company’s Volvo FH12, converted into a very large mobile home, which I drive annually across Europe as part of the operations of my tour company business.

Worked As Business Partner at Dougies Backpacker from October 1998 to till now
Launched Dougies Backpacker in Port Douglas in 1998 which has been operating successfully ever since with onsite managers/partner. Up to 200 guests per night.

Worked As Truck and bus driver at PP Travel from April 1991 to till now
Over 20 years HGV and coach driving for my tour company business in Europe. Drove large MR and HC truck to our camping set operations in the UK, Spain and Germany. Now back living at home in Melbourne with HC licence.

Worked As Self Employed – Company Director at Volvo FH12 from April 1991 to till now
Extensive long-distance driving of large vehicles – vans and coaches (up to 88 seats) in Europe. The sole driver of my company’s HGV motorhome – converted Volvo FH12.

Tours offered included coach/camping, hotel and day tours. Annual passengers up to 6000. Have been managing the firm from Melbourne since 2006, commuting to Europe.
