Hi, I’m 36, fairly fit (I’m sure we could all do better) and I’m looking for work.
For the last 3 and a bit years I’ve been running my own earthworks company but the recent downturn has made me rethink and I’d feel safer back out on the road.
Personally I prefer long haul work but I’m open to local too. My main experience here in Australia is in car carrying but I come from a haulage background in the UK where we operated across the width and breadth of Europe specialising in general freight.
I have some experience in refrigerated transport but that was a while ago so I’d need a refresher.
I have a pretty good knowledge of Australia and am very good at reading maps and planning routes. I pride myself on my professionalism both inside and outside of the truck.
I have extensive experience operating under BFM and I like to keep a very tidy work diary.
My licence is currently clean, I have a five year history ready to go and won’t struggle to pass a drug or alcohol test.

Experience :
Worked As Director at Established Earth from October 2016 to till now
Owner operator of a 5 tonne excavator and small tipper. Working within the building industry, mostly for concretors. Organising my own work, keeping my own books and making sure my accounts are up to date.

Worked As MC Operator, Inter and Intrastate at Auto Transport Australia from May 2013 to October 2016
Duties included those undertaken with Patrick Autocare as well as liaising with the mechanical
workshop to organise vehicle servicing and maintenance.

Worked As Quad Road Train Driver at Contractor to HighRock Australia from January 2013 to May 2013
Duties include: Operating four side tipper trailers with concessional loading between Port
Hedland and Consolidated Minerals mine sites of Woodie Woodie and Coobina, operating a
weigh bridge to ensure load limits are adhered to, cleaning trucks, basic maintenance (changing tyres etc), driving within Western Australian fatigue rules.

Worked As Fisherman Islands, Port of Brisbane – HC operator at Patrick Autocare from September 2009 to January 2013
Duties included: Loading, delivering and unloading cars and trucks including Toyotas,
Mitsubishis, Nissans, Holdens, Kias, Isuzus and Volkswagens Australia-wide, operating
numerous different truck and trailer setups including innovative flat pack designs, training new
drivers both in regards to equipment and log book rules and regulations.

Worked As HC operator at S and C International Haulage Limited from December 2008 to May 2009
Duties included: Loading, delivering and unloading bricks and blocks to building trade sites with Hiab / Crane throughout the UK, monitoring own driving hours to ensure adherence to strict UK and employer regulations, general daily mechanical checks and maintenance of own vehicle,
rigorous daily cleaning of own vehicle, regular correspondence with transport office to ensure
efficient time and location management.

Worked As Multiple roles (family business) at S & C International Haulage Limited from February 2004 to December 2008
Duties included: Liaising with drivers to ensure delivery targets were met, arranging freight forwarding, sourcing loads, liaising with clients, placing orders for service items, assisting with general maintenance, general driving.

Worked As customer liaison at Bond Street Saab from June 2001 to February 2004
