I’ve been in the transport industry for over 10 years, so I bring knowledge and experience to the role as I have been in senior management for the past 5 years. I currently manage a large team of employees such as, sub-contractors, supervisors and floor staff, therefore I must ensure that my communication is clear, so they undertake the tasks required efficiently. I regularly conduct toolbox meetings where we utilise a checklist and so this gives my staff the opportunity to raise concerns, issues or any ideas that will improve the workflow.
