My name is Paul Theelen and I am writing to you with the intention of gaining employment. My experience and background is with Stores and Warehousing. I have extensive experience in the Offshore Logistics sector but I am a versatile and adaptable person willing to expand into new areas of employment. Shell Australia: Offshore Logistics Coordinator, Noble Clyde Boudreaux July 2012 – Present
The Shell drilling campaign commenced with the international mobilization of the large semi-submersible MODU to begin drilling the deep water wildcat well, Palta, on the North West Shelf. The campaign then on with a rig move up to the Browse Basin to commence the Prelude drilling programme. Top hole batch drilling was followed by intermediate section batch drilling. The project was then split into two rounds of reservoir drilling and completions. Huge amounts of bulk materials and equipment has been transported to and from the rig with no disruption to drilling sequence planning. Many operational changes and challenges have been successfully met due to proficient planning, methodical and diligent work ethic coupled with an exceptional attention to detail. Being part of the team developing the production field for the world’s firs FLNG facility has been exciting and challenging, I am well respected among my peers and I feel proud to be an integral part of the team.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure full compliance with Shell HSSE Standards & Procedures
• Manage Offshore Logistics support operations and associated interfaces including: Drilling Logistics / Lifting & Hoisting / Marine support / Aviation support
• Manage materials & equipment movements to and from the offshore facility
• Manage company inventory in consultation with Wells stakeholders
• Achieve excellent customer service performance and capture opportunities for service improvements
• Consult and coordinate with Supply Base Logistics Supervisor regarding the movement of all materials
• Cost effective response times for equipment to and from the offshore facility
• Liaise with service providers offshore and office based to ensure correct equipment is mobilised efficiently
• Supervise and direct deck foreman, crane operator, deck crew and materials man when offloading vessels to ensure all manifested items are accounted for and there is no damage

The BHP Billiton campaign consisted of two exploration wells including coring operations and one completion of a crude oil reservoir. My diligence and ability to work well with a diverse range of cultures and personalities resulted in an efficiently supplied campaign. Effective stock control and inventory tracking allowed for a seamless transition from the end of operations to contract completion and rig handover.
Responsibilities:
• Meet BHP Petroleum HSSE requirements
• Provide efficient and effective operational support
• Maximise cost reduction measures
• Provide materials and logistics support to offshore operations
• Scheduling of service company personnel to and from MODU as required
• Liaise with on shore Aviation Coordinator to arrange personnel movements
• Attend to airfreight in and out
• Keep adequate supply of rubbish skips on board the rig and police waste segregation
• Liaise with Supply Base Materials and Logistics Supervisor regarding the movement of all materials
• Liaise with office based Materials and Logistics Supervisor regarding material call outs
• Plan backload, prepare equipment and complete accurate manifest for backload equipment
• Keep up to date inventory registers
