Driver ( Alpha Flight Services )

Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Loading and unloading trucks with carts, ovens and standard units 
• Perform driving duties (short distance) 
• Preparation and packing of catering equipment 
• Liaising with airline staff and hand over delivery 
• Communicating in a professional and courteous manner 
• Maintaining the company’s policy in relation to HALAL,HACCP, food safety and WHS in accordance with company policy 
• Marshalling the Driver on the tarmac to position the truck in line with company / airport / airline policies 
• Carrying out basic serviceability and maintenance checks of vehicles and/or equipment, including refuelling of vehicles 
• Performing administrative documentation and reporting duties as required 
• Following up on any discrepancies and ensures that flight is correct 
• General cleaning duties 
• Able to work in other areas of the unit for part or whole of shift to meet operational demands 

Selection Criteria:

• A  current MR or HR drivers licence preferable 
• Must hold a current Fork Lift licence 
• Must have a First Aid Certificate 
• WHS qualifications preferred yet not essential 
• Flexibility in regards to working hours essential (7 day per week operation) 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced , high-volume environment 
• A satisfactory police record required 
• Good verbal and written communication skills 
• Ability to perform frequent manual handling tasks
