Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced local driver and an interstate driver to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating semi-trailers, B-doubles, and transporting oversize loads within South East Queensland and Australia wide.
This role requires a professional driver with a strong understanding of road safety, compliance regulations, and the ability to handle oversized freight.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate semi-trailers and B-double trailer sets, also transporting a variety of over-width and over-length loads.
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in top condition.
Secure and load cargo in compliance with safety regulations.
Plan and execute routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to road restrictions and permits.
Manage required documentation, including logbooks, permits, and delivery paperwork.
Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and clients, providing updates as needed.
Adhere to all relevant road and traffic laws, maintaining a high standard of driving.
Report any issues or incidents to the management team promptly.
Requirements:
Valid HC or MC Driver’s License.
Minimum2 years of experience driving semi-trailers and B-doubles, with a focus on oversize loads.
Comprehensive knowledge of Australian road laws and regulations related to heavy vehicles and oversize transport.
Experience with securing loads.
Strong focus on safety, with a clean driving record.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication skills.
