Casual Position - Maintain all stock in the warehouse and pick orders - May also be required to deliver company products
The Role
The purpose of this role is to maintain all stock in the warehouse and pick orders using OH&S safe manual handling procedures in an effective and timely manner.
You may also be required to drive company vehicles and deliver products in
an effective and timely manner as per procedures outlined in the driver’s manual.
Key Responsibilities
Working in a varied temperature controlled environment
Operate as a backup driver and deliver products to customers as per invoice requirements
Undertake all duties in a safe, responsible and courteous manner
Plan, pick and cross check orders
Employ correct stock rotation principles at all times based on ‘first in first out’ rule
Ensure warehouse is neat, clean and in a ‘ready to pick’ state at all times
Ensure any stock returned by drivers is put back into appropriate bin locations or put in appropriate damaged or low
code locations
Assist in all site stock takes
Load/unload containers and delivery vehicles as required
Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications
Must have HR Truck AND High Risk Forklift licence (essential)
Understand company OH&S and food safety program (HACCP) and in particular the “cold chain” process
Previous experience and understanding of warehouse & transport operations
Customer focused and good at building interpersonal relationships
Good communication, time and organisational skills
Sound literacy skills and basic PC knowledge
Highly motivated, flexible with a solid work ethic and positive attitude
Able to work in a team environment as well as autonomously
Accurate attention to detail
Ability to learn a broad range of products quickly
Knowledge of the Bassendean area
