Mungari Gold Operation includes the Frog's Leg underground mine, White Foil open pit mine and the Mungari processing plant. The sites are located approximately 25km west of Kalgoorlie where the majority of employees are residential.
The role:
You will undergo practical training on the dump truck operation. Once certified as competent, your role will provide backup to the dump truck operators in the open pit team.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Operating machinery safely, competently and efficiently delivering maximum productivity.
- Identification, reporting and control of workplace hazards.
- Ensuring material moved from the Pit is delivered to the right stockpile locations or dumping area and that the data is correctly recorded and reported for reconciliation.
- Troubleshooting, identification and reporting of equipment faults.
- Ensuring all production statistics, equipment breakdowns, pre-starts, paperwork etc are accurately filled in and reported.
- Housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Complying with and undertaking additional / alternative responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the Pit Supervisor.
- Prompt reporting of any incidents, accidents and equipment damaged.
- Contributing towards continuous improvement.
- Commit to maintaining health, safety and security standards and principles, both within own workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout Evolution.
Are you the one?
- Current C class drivers licence
- Current HR drivers licence highly desirable
- Have a sound understanding of heavy machinery
- High level of organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Previous experience within an open pit mining environment will be highly regarded.
