I am an electrician with 5 yrs post trade experience. I have experience working in mining doing shutdown work, maintenance, LV/HV switchboard manufacturing as well as industrial boards for Perth metro.

Worked As Maintenance Electrician at Australian Portable Camps from October 2019 to January 2020
Our team cover design, engineering, manufacturing as well as transport, logistics and maintenance to offer you Australia’s most comprehensive turnkey portable camp solution.

My role was to facilitate the construction and maintenance of RO Camp Water Supply, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Emergency Fire Services, Electrical Camp Supply (4x 400KVA Generators), Kitchen, Office buildings and Accomodation.

My role working for Sodexo is to Implement and manage isolations for RIO TINTO’s Coastal Projects outside of Karratha WA. Due to the large workforce and complexity of works on these sites RIO TINTO have made me a Permit Officer.

• Planning, creating, implementing electrical and mechanical isolations from electrical and building drawings.
• Creating and implementing documentation and procedures for the isolating and re-energisation of work fronts.
• Testing of electrical circuits prior to isolation and re-energisation, making sure work crews have not damaged any cables during their works.

Worked As Electrician at Ray Brookes Switchboards from September 2017 to October 2018
Ray Brookes manufactures various sized LV switchboards ranging from 63A panel boards to 1250A 5.5m long Site Main Switchboards.

• Preparing the board for installing electrical equipment using basic metal working and hand tool skills, jig sawing, grinding, drilling, tapping, hole punching
• Installing various sized LV switchgear, circuit breakers, direct and CT power metering circuits
• Designing, measuring, bending and installing copper busbars, from simple tags to customised 1250A systems
• Working closely with the electrical engineering team and sheet metal team to change the board layout on the fly, as needed
• QA and basic testing of boards prior to dispatch

Worked As Electrical Technician at High Energy Services from August 2015 to March 2017
HES specialises in services associated with HV&LV substations and switchyard equipment. Equipment such as: circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers and protection relays.

My role consisted of FIFO work to various mine sites for preventative maintenance and testing for varying lengths of time. Our main Clients were FMG and BHP but we also worked on the construction sites of Wheatstone and Roy Hill.

Worked As Electrical Apprentice/ Trades Assistant at Lend Lease Power from August 2011 to July 2015
Lend Lease Power made switchboards for the mining industry and supplied to organisations such as RIO TINTO and BHP Billiton. In this role I enjoyed learning the many different ways that one task can be done through the exposure to working with multiple tradesmen on many projects.
